Ingredients

Cake mix (73%): Wheat flour, sugar, multicoloured sugar sprinkles (5%) (sugar, rice flour, vegetable oil, thickener (tragacanth gum), colours (carotene, riboflavin, carmines, brilliant blue fcf, chlorophyll copper complex, indigotine)), raising agents (sodium bicarbonate, calcium phosphate, sodium aluminum phosphate), modified corn starch (1422), emulsifiers (propylene glycol esters of fatty acids, mono- and di-glycerides of fatty acids, sodium stearoyl lactylate), salt, vegetable oil, thickeners (xanthan gum, sodium carboxymethylcellulose), flavour. Frosting (27%): Sugar, vegetable oil, water, invert sugar syrup, emulsifiers (mono and diglycerides of fatty acids, polysorbate 60, sodium stearoyl lactylate), salt, preservative (potassium sorbate), mineral salt (sodium acid pyrophosphate), vanilla flavor, colour (carotene), food acid (citric acid).

Preparation Instructions

All you need is: 3 extra large eggs + 80g butter, melted or 1/3 cup (80mL) vegetable oil + 2/3 cup (160mL) milk or 2/3 cup (160mL) water Prep. time: 10 mins Baking time: 45-50 mins for cake / 18-22 mins for cupcakes Baking: One 20cm round and at least 5cm deep cake pan or one 12 cupcake tray (and 12 cupcake cases) Preheat oven to 160°C (140°C fan forced). Grease a 20cm round and at least 5cm deep cake pan with cooking spray. Line the base with baking paper. For cupcakes line 1 regular cupcake tray with cupcake cases. 3 simple steps! 1. Beat cake mix, eggs, butter and milk (or cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil and water) in a large bowl with electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds, then on medium speed for 2 minutes. (Do not eat unbaked batter). Pour into pan. For cupcakes follow the same instructions. Then, pour mixture into the cupcake cases. 2. Bake for 45–50 minutes for cake or 18–22 minutes for cupcakes or until skewer inserted in centre comes out clean. Cook time may vary depending on oven. Cool for 10 minutes in pan, and then gently remove from pan onto a wire rack to cool completely. 3. Swirl vanilla frosting over the top of cake or on top of each cupcake. Give a finishing touch by adding colourful sprinkles!
